"Needle is the hey", best Double IPA in San Diego hands down! 'Kill the pour" was an excellent IPA. "La flama blanca", is a great Mexican lager. Not a big fan of lagers. Atmosphere is amazing, well designed brewery and great staff on deck. All I can say is, Chula Vista uprising!
So ,earlier today I stopped by 3 punks ales while waiting for don Pedro's. I had a pilsner, which I enjoyed, so I decided to invite our friends to go later today. So, we are all adults, family oriented with kiddos. I saw kids there when I went in the morning, so we decided to go with our kids since i'm thinking they are kid friendly. We are there from 4pm on, ordering drinks, ordered food from local spot near by, enjoying the vibe, and keeping it local. All of a sudden we start feeling unwelcomed because we have our kids playing on a corner. We were away from the rest of the crowd, minding our own business and we start feeling like we are being stared at. Minutes later Albert one of the employees starts telling us we need to leave because apperently there's a rule were kids cannot be inside the establishment and need to leave once the street lights turn on. Well, that killed the whole vibe and felt like we got pushed out. Well, what a way to bring customers back by kicking them out. Very disappointed, I brought them business 4 different families were there for their first time and they were all disapointed with the way we were treated. I asked if this was a city rule that we had to leave or what? Apperently several of us were told it was the owners, but when we asked another employee he didn't even know. Albert, told my wife it's the owner's Steve rule. Poor choice of kicking our customers while on your opening week. I think you just lost business. Next time don't make your customers feel uncomfortable. Especially if you work for tips!!!
Reading the one star review, I'm sorry but because kids are welcome it does mean you keep an eye on them. I've been to too many places where this is a chief complaint of families but fail to see that they cannot keep they're kids in check. Maybe your kids were making the entire establishment feel uncomfortable. Also be considerate and don't threaten people that work for tips, they were following the rules they were told. I work in a bar and I've met many of these types of guests claiming they had bad service but fail to see the issues kids brings. Not always, but some parents fail to think that their kids are assholes.
Try the Needle in the Hey! Love this place. New to CV and these guys are changing the game for third ave!
Clean, typical set up for a brewery. Beer is legit tho. I tried "kill the pour" and "needle in the hey" good solid beer. $7 for a 16oz, 450 for 8oz. Not too expensive.
