Checked out the restaurant because I had a coupon and the waitress/hostess was very nice when we walked through the door but as soon a she saw the coupon she stated: "oh you have a coupon!" And immediately started being rude. Then the food was no good. My friend liked his tacos but my tamal and enchilada combination plate were not good at all; the rice was burnt and hardened in both of our plates. The sauce on the enchilada tasted like it came straight from a can and warmed up in the microwave. The tamal was the worse thing with the enchilada sauce all over it and crumbling like it had been previously frozen as just microwaved and with no taste or smoothness.
The portions were okay but for $12 a plate I have gotten bigger portions and tastier food somewhere else. I wouldn't recommendthis place at all and won't be going back even though it's a few blocks from my residence.
I really enjoy this place. The menudo is excellent, and most of the food I have eaten there has been well prepared. I would recommend this place to family and friends. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because the alcoholic beverages and mixed drinks aren't very good.
The salsa and chips were disgusting. Definitely not authentic.
My favorite Mexican Restaurant in South Chula Vista! Prices are reasonable. Food is tasty and the servings are ample. They have coupons in the local Get 1 Free coupon magazine.
Great restaurants for breakfast, lunch,and dinner. Excellent happy hour selection of drinks and appetizers. Great staff too! They always provide excellent service!
Great service and even better food there needs are always ice cold, they also show moost games.
