I want to thank all of the staff at Mercy Chula Vista for all their hard work and compassionate service. My family and I are very greateful and proud of our community hospital and their awesome doctors. nurses, techs, etc...

The best treatment and communication I have seen by far. My father has been to many hospitals and the care and attention they gave him in ER to the ICU, until the day we were discharged was exceptional. they are a caring and compassionate hospital.

The ER nurses were beyond amazing.

About a year ago my husbands grandmother was here. She fell out of the shower and broke her ankle. When we arrived to see her she had a skin watch sign on her bedside. We asked the nurse what happened and she said "she forgot to call us to take her off her bed pan." SHE HAD BEEN SITTING ON HER BED PAN FOR 48 HOURS! how in the hell does that happen! If the nurses checked regularly they would have noticed. She was so drugged up she couldnt talk to us at all. She ended up passing away 3 months later in a rehabilitation home for Over Drugging that was on the list of reccomendations. Scrpps gave us 20 min to pick one because they needed a bed!

It is a major relief to know you are in hands of people who really care.

My 3 year old chewed up a bunch of grandmas meds. We had no idea if he had actually swallowed any, or just spit them out. They took us to the back immediately, giving him a bed directly in front of the nurses station. Since he wasn't even nauseous, the doctors decided to just observe him, & begin action if he started to show any symptoms. He was making new friends the entire time. So many nurses came to meet and chat with him. We ended up being there for about 4 hours, & impressively they were able to keep him awake the entire time; we left a little after 2 am. He was even sad when it was time to leave, because he wasn't able to say goodbye to all his friends. I will never be able to fully express just how grateful I am. They did a wonderful job caring for my son, and an amazing job keeping a terrified mommy calm.

i had a very bad experience at scripps not just the nurse was rude to me but also the doctor they were not friendly at all and didn't make me feel comfortable i will never go back to this hospital im just glad my baby was not born that day

Currently my mother in law is at scripps with cancer. They told us she may have air bubbles in her body and this could be fatal. They said they are treating it as if it is urgent and she might need emergency surgery. We have been here ALL day waiting on a surgeon to see if she can handle the surgery or if its non operable. They have no idea when hes coming! With a life and death situation u would think the surgeon would be here to advise..... THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE! WORST HOSPITAL IVE EVER SEEN.
