The best thing is the comfortable beds and amazing variety of tv shows including hbo showtime and oh yea they actually provide hair bonnets for your showers

Not sure where to even begin. When checking in the guy at the counter gave me a really weird vibe. Big guy, kinda older, glasses, could barely hear what he was saying when he spoke. He was also eating as he was checking me in and chewing and breathing loudly. It just made me uncomfortable from the start. No customer service skills or social skills for that matter.

For the price. This is my favorite place to stay. Service is great. Rooms are clean. And beds are 5 star quality. Close to all. Office is available even thru the night if necessary.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Incompetent staff. Worst experience. Key cards deactivated for no reason.

Excellent really large rooms very nice beds, Mr.Yogi and Gilbert always take great care of me, when ever my partner and I arrive early Yogi always accommodates us with great precision. Never have I had a bad experience at The Palomar Inn always quiet zero drama,

Reasonable rates. Newly remodeled rooms, with NEW mattresses!!! Relatively quiet even though the I5 freeway is less than 100 yards away. The only thing I usually hear is the occasional siren, but hey, emergencies happen. Can't fault them for that. Yogesh is the daylight manager and goes above and beyond for his guests. Just don't ask to stay beyond 19 days! They will tell you have to leave for a night, then check back in. God forbid you are late with the rent for the day! They will not be very forgiving! Placing you on their "do not return" list.

I got the non smoking room with 2 queen beds for 2 nights and told him there would be 3 people staying there. They gave us 2 key cards. The very next day, the key card that was with the other guests was deactivated because one of the staff guys said he didn’t recognize my brothers who were also staying there. He was very rude about the entire ordeal as he was demanding to see IDs and phone numbers or not let them into our room. When I got there at the end of the night my key card had also been deactivated. I went down to speak with the receptionist, now a younger, tall skinny guy, he said he couldn’t help me because he didn’t believe it was me who registered even though he had a picture of me on the screen and I presented my ID.

That last part doesn’t seem believable but that is how incompetent the staff here is! And it’s not just that they don’t know what they’re doing it’s how rude they are about it. At the last minute I found out I had to stay at least a 3rd night so I talked to the receptionist, the same skinny guy, he said he couldn’t help me and to look online to make a reservation. I don’t understand how he couldn’t check me in for a 3rd night in person when that’s exactly how I checked-in in the first place. I tried doing it online but I wasn’t guaranteed the same room for the 3rd night which would be a big hassle seeing as I had to go to work in the morning and I had all my stuff in the room already. When I asked they receptionist if he could help me out in any way he very rudely told me ‘No’. I don’t know what that guys problem is but he shouldn’t be working there period.

I’ve lived here in Chula Vista for several years and passed by the Palomar Inn every day on the way to work. Never did I think it was absolutely unprofessionally ran. You could not pay me to stay here and deal with the staff. Get an air bnb instead and help kill this disastrous establishment. Please.
