I recently visited Bonita Smiles and I couldn't be happier with their service. Dr. Farhang and her staff were so professional and friendly. My visit went very smoothly and the doctor was making jokes and she was so nice it made the whole experience so much easier. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring dentist.
I have cal dental and made an appointment to see Dr. Bassiri for an exam. I arrived on time. When I walked in Cecilia asked me to sign in. She started to prepare some forms for me to fill out and the phone rang. She started to talk to someone so I sat down. After about 40 minutes she finished her call and then handed me the forms to fill out. I waited another 20 minutes after filling them out. The doctor was cordial and so was his assistant.
I used to be mortified going to the dentist because of a bad experience. That has changed now. I had a fantastic experience at Bonita Smiles. Loved the doctor and the Staff, especially Dr. Bassiri. He is friendly and gentle. The prices are also reasonable. I just had to share my experience with everyone.
My whole experience was excellent! I described Dr. Farhang and her associates as ninjas because they were so efficient in their practice. I seriously didn't wait longer than a minute for anything. But, most importantly, they spent the time to talk with me and show genuine interest in my life. In other dental offices I left like a number, at Dr. Farhang's practice I felt like a person. I highly recommend her and her team for your dental needs.

Great place! I have seven years experience working in the dental field, so I know a knowledgeable place when I see it. I made the mistake of having some fillings done at Bonita Del Rey Dental Care last year and the doctor (Garate) took out WAY too much of my natural tooth when he did a filling. Only a year later, I was flossing and the whole piece came out--I had a giant hole in my tooth. I called Bonita Smiles and they got me in the following morning--I wasn't even in pain but they got me in quickly. Furthermore, the doctor was able to fix my tooth that same day as well. She did another filling on that tooth in the hopes that it will take and I won't need a crown. Having my dental background was great because what she told me made perfect sense. If I end up needing a crown in the future, it will be because of the terrible work done a year ago, not this place. Yes, the practice is small and the website needs work, but I feel comfortable going there for my dental needs!

After the exam, Cecilia than came back with an estimate of the charges. 6 crowns, 8 fillings and a night guard totaling $14679.00 of which the insurance was going to pay $9249.00 and I was to pay $5430.00. I went back home to review my insurance policy and calculated that the total fee I should have paid for these same services would be $1084.00 per my insurance policy. I contacted Cal dental and informed them of the discrepancy. They told me that they were going to call the doctor to see what happened. I called them back the following Monday and Cal Dental told me the dentist was not using the right rates for my policy, 595, and they would adjust the rates to reflect my benefits. I called Cecilia and asked if she had talked to Cal Dental. She confirmed she did and confirmed she used the wrong rates. I asked her to fax me the new estimate. She said she would. The following day I called and asked what happened. She said she got very busy and did not have a chance. She said she would fax it shortly. The next day I called back again and told her I still did not receive it. She told me she was having problems with the fax and was going to try again. The next day I called again and asked her what happened. She said she could not fax it so she mailed. I asked he what the total was. She said hold on. She then hung up. I called back and she was going to call me back. She did not. The next day I called back and told her that I was not surprised she did not call and that this whole experience was the worst I have ever had. She then told me that she talked to the doctor and that I now have another condition that was not even motioned to me. Something about an overbite that war not covered on my policy and they would not be able to see me right now. I told her that not only was I going to file a complaint with Cal Dental; I was going to post my experience on line. I still have not received the updated estimate by mail or fax.
Stay away from this place.
